More relating to the novels than anything else, Peter Pettigrew symbolizes Judas in the Harry Potter series. Peter was one of Lily and Jame's closest friends, and they trusted him with their lives. To hide themselves from the Dark Lord they cast a spell that would make everyone in the world forget about their address and where they lived. It would make their home invisible to all but who knew about it. This spell required one other person to be the "Secret Keeper". A person who would know where they lived, and be the only one with the power to tell anyone else where they lived. At first, the Potters asked Dumbledore, but when he declined they asked Sirius Black, but he felt he was a large target for Voldemort, so if he died their location would be revealed. Turning to their other close friend, Peter happily agreed to take on the responsibility, and soon after the spell was cast, he turned to Voldemort to sell his friends out, which lead to the death of both Lily and James Potter. This was Peters second betrayal. During the first Wizarding War, Peter participated in the Order of the Pheonix, where he became a double agent for the Dark Lord. When Sirius learned of these betrayals, he went after Peter, who faked his own death, sending Sirius to Azkaban, in his third great betrayal.
Peter is similar to Judas in his great betrayal. Although Judas wasn't the only person who could have sold out Jesus, he was the only one of the disciples that would. Peter was greedy and would go with the most powerful leader, instead of fighting for himself. Judas betrayed Jesus three times, just as Peter betrayed his friends three times. There is no denying his connection to Judas in the Bible.
