HArry Potter: A Christ Figure
The Prophecy:
"The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches ... born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies ... and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal, but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not ... and either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives ... the one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies ..." - Professor Trelawney
The Miracle Birth:
Harry Potter's family is attacked a short while after his birth by Lord Voldemort, who knows due to a prophecy, that a young boy who's parents have thrice betrayed him will be his downfall. Taking action against who he thinks will be his undoing, he attacks the Potter house, killing first Harry's father. Upon moving into Harry's nursery Lily Potter sacrifices herself to protect her son. When Lily sacrifices herself for Harry, she leaves him with the power of sacrificial love, which protects him from the killing curse the Dark Lord bestows on him soon after the sacrifice, marking him as the "Chosen One" and setting the heroic story into motion.
Growing Up:
After the tragic death of his parents, Harry grows up with his aunt and uncle, secluded in the Muggle world, and completely unknowing of his original heritage. Similar to Jesus Christ, as there are no records of his childhood or family life growing up.
Sacrificial Love:
One of the most prominent themes in the Bible is sacrificial love, a theme in which is present in almost every single book and movie of this series. In the very first book, we see Lily Potter sacrifice herself for Harry, protecting him using the magic of love. In almost every movie Harry is thrown into quests where he must put his safety at risk to save others. The most significant example of Harry exhibiting sacrificial love is when he graciously accepts death to save his people.

Reincarnation:
Much like in the Bible, Harry sacrifices himself to dark forces to free his people from evil. After Harry sacrifices himself, he finds himself in Kings Cross Station, where he has a deep heartfelt conversation with Professor Dumbledore about what to do. Choosing to go back and fight, Harry is resurrected and continues to battle the evil that suppresses his people, just like Jesus.
Half Blood:
Both Harry and Jesus Christ were half human and half something else. In Harry's case he is half wizard, whereas Jesus is half God. This is a small similarity that could have impacted Voldemort's decision, which will be discussed in a later stage.
The Decent:
After Harry's decent to the Chamber of Secrets and his brave heroic rescue for Ginny Weasley, he spends three days in a coma, parallel to the three days Jesus spent in his tomb before being resurrected.
