From the Bible to the story
"For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also" Matthew 6:21
Only relating to the novels, the Biblical quote seen above is in direct relation with the Dumbledore family. After the sudden death of both Ariana and Kendra Dumbledore, the family tomb was brought into the story with the above quote inscribed on the door. As the University Professor discussed in the video earlier, he believed that this quote was relating to Harry, and what he would choose his treasure to be, which would directly frame the events of the story. Should he have chosen power to be his treasure, perhaps he could have turned out to be on a road similar to the path of Voldemort. But instead it appears he made his treasure protecting others, and love, which lead the story on a path that lead to the downfall of Evil.
"The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death" - Corinthians 15:26
This quote is found inscribed on the gravestone of Lily and James Potter in Godric Hollow. It is suggested by many writers that this quote is used to prepare Harry for what is to come, and to foreshadow what the last Horcrux is. Harry does not know that he is the 8th Horcrux at this point in the story, but one could speculate that this quote could be used to predict that Harry will soon be joining the grave. Death is an unavoidable aspect of life, and like most others, Harry is probably fearing what is to come when he learns he must die, but with sacrificial love in his heart he gives himself up and destroys his final enemy: death.
